About Dale Michael
Dale Michael Oberbeck is a senior counsel at Burkhalter Kessler Clement & George LLP in Irvine, California. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1996. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law in 1996. Prior to law school, he graduated cum laude from Purdue University in 1993 with a double major in Psychology and Criminology. During law school, he clerked for the Cook County Circuit Court. His practice focuses on business litigation, including employment disputes, commercial and real property disputes, international manufacturing and distribution litigation, and trademark and franchise issues.
He has litigated cases throughout California in both state and federal courts, obtaining favorable results at trial, arbitration, and mediation. He has also authored and successfully argued several matters before the California Courts of Appeals. Before joining Burkhalter Kessler Clement & George LLP, he worked as an associate attorney at a boutique litigation firm in Los Angeles from 1996 to 1999. He then served as a senior associate at a mid-sized firm in Irvine from 1999 to 2005.
In 2005, he joined Burkhalter Kessler Clement & George LLP as a senior counsel. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the ProVisors business networking group. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Business Litigation from 2024 to 2026. He resides in Long Beach with his wife, Vacharee, and their three children, Elizabeth, Paul, and Emily.
