About Andrew L.
Andrew L. Bennett took a direct route into the law. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University in 1989, studying political science, psychology and business. He then completed his J.D. at Valparaiso University School of Law in 1995 and entered legal practice in Indiana.
His professional life has been anchored at Bennett & Catsadimas, P.C., where he has practiced for many years. Colleagues describe him as steady and thorough in the office. He has handled matters that require courtroom work and client counseling, and he has remained active in the bar communities that serve northwest Indiana.
Bennett’s standing in local legal circles is reflected in long-term memberships. He has been a member of the American Inns of Court, Calumet Council, since 2000 and serves as a Master of the Bench. He also belongs to the Porter County Bar Association (since 2015) and the Lake County Bar Association (since 2016). These roles put him in frequent contact with judges and other lawyers and offer regular opportunities for mentoring and professional exchange.
On the technical side, Bennett completed the Transportation Safety Institute’s Lethal Weapon DUI Homicide Workshop offered through the U.S. Department of Transportation. That training addresses investigative and evidentiary issues that arise when serious injuries or deaths are alleged in connection with impaired driving. He has drawn on that coursework when cases turn on technical accident reconstruction or DUI-related evidence.
Throughout his career he has combined courtroom experience with involvement in local professional institutions. He has taken part in Bench-Bar discussions and educational programs, and he has been involved in matters that require coordinating expert testimony. He keeps up with continuing education and local bar activities.
He maintains an active practice at Bennett & Catsadimas, P.C., handling legal matters in Indiana and applying his transportation safety training where cases raise DUI or vehicular-fatality issues.
