About Clinton R.

Clinton R. Brimhall combines training in language and law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Editing from Brigham Young University in 2011 and returned to BYU for his Juris Doctor, graduating in 2014. That dual background shows in his approach to casework. He tends to favor clear, careful writing and close attention to the record.

He began his legal career in public interest work. In 2014 he served as a fellowship and pro bono lawyer at Utah Legal Services, Inc., where he handled intake and represented clients on a variety of civil matters. The role exposed him to housing, family, and benefit disputes and to the practical constraints faced by low-income litigants.

The following year he joined Christensen Law as an associate. At Christensen he has taken on trial and appellate assignments. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing briefs and hearings. He spent early years learning courtroom procedure and case management at the firm. Over time he has taken responsibility for drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and arguing motions.

Brimhall is admitted to practice in Utah, and he is also admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect experience on both state and federal dockets. He draws on that experience when assessing procedural strategy and when preparing appellate work.

His undergraduate study in English shapes his craft. He approaches legal writing as an exercise in persuasion and clarity. That influence appears in court filings that are concise and organized. It also shows in oral argument, where he aims to present points in a straightforward sequence.

He remains based at Christensen Law. There he continues to handle matters in the jurisdictions where he is licensed, including state and federal appeals and trial work. He currently practices at Christensen Law, handling matters in the jurisdictions where he is admitted.
