About Christy Crowe

Christy Crowe Childers earned her J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. She built her legal foundation there and went on to establish a practice grounded in courtroom work and civil litigation.

She is admitted to practice in Georgia and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Over the years she has taken roles that extend beyond individual cases. Since 2010 she has served as an editor for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association’s Trial Practice Manual, contributing to three editions of the reference. That editorial work reflects a steady involvement in trial procedure and the nuts and bolts of courtroom practice.

Childers has been active in the Macon Bar Association since 2005 and served as its president. Her leadership in that local bar group has been one strand of a broader professional life that includes membership in specialized organizations. She joined the Academy of Truck Accident Lawyers in 2020 and continues her membership there, which aligns with her trial work in serious motor vehicle and transportation cases.

Colleagues describe her approach as practical and detail-oriented. In court she emphasizes preparation and the careful presentation of facts. Out of court she has worked on trial strategy, witness preparation and the drafting of procedural materials for other lawyers. Her editorial work for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association also keeps her engaged with emerging procedural tools and practical guidance for trial lawyers across the state.

Her career combines local bar leadership, editorial contribution to a statewide trial manual, and membership in a national organization focused on trucking litigation. Those elements intersect in the courtroom and in the professional organizations where she mentors younger lawyers and participates in continuing legal education.

Childers continues to practice law in Georgia and before the Eleventh Circuit. She concentrates her practice on civil trial litigation, including motor vehicle and trucking matters.
