About Christopher
Christopher Roach took an unconventional route to the law. He arrived with an arts background and left law school with a J.D. in hand. The shift shaped the way he approaches cases: deliberate, exacting and practical.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from Northern Kentucky University in 2007. He then attended Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, receiving his J.D. in 2012. The combination of studio training and legal study gave him patience for detail and an eye for presentation—skills that translate into written work and courtroom materials.
Roach began his legal career at the office of Eric C. Deters & Partners. In 2012 he served as a law clerk and soon moved into associate and partner roles at the firm. He also spent time as an associate at The Deters Firm that year, gaining early exposure to litigation and client counseling in a regional practice setting.
In 2015 Roach took two parallel steps. He opened the Law Office of Christopher D. Roach, a solo practice that allowed him to manage client matters directly. That same year he joined Pugh & Roach Lawyers at Law, PLLC as a partner. The dual setup reflects a pattern among small-firm lawyers who balance independent work with collaborative practice.
He is admitted to practice in Kentucky and in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He has maintained membership in the Northern Kentucky Bar Association since 2012, participating in the local bar community and its events. Roach’s courtroom experience spans state and federal proceedings and includes appellate work filed in the Sixth Circuit.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and plainspoken. He favors clear briefs over ornate filings and straightforward preparation over rhetorical flourish. That approach shows in how he runs his office and how he prepares clients for hearings.
Today Roach practices at Pugh & Roach Lawyers at Law, PLLC, and continues to manage matters in Kentucky and the Sixth Circuit.
