About Christopher

Christopher Naumes built a legal foundation at Boston College, where he earned a B.A. in 2000, and at Suffolk University Law School, graduating with a J.D. in 2007. The two degrees set a clear path into litigation and public service. He entered the Massachusetts legal community in the years that followed and has remained active at state and federal levels.

He began his post-law school career in private practice. In 2008 he worked as a lawyer at Thornton & Naumes LLP. The next year he moved into public service and served as General Counsel for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2009. That position placed him inside state government during a formative period of his career and gave him experience handling legal matters on behalf of a public institution.

Naumes returned to private practice and, in 2014, became a partner at Naumes Law Group. At the firm he has developed a practice that includes courtroom work and representation in federal and state forums. He is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts and holds admissions to several federal trial courts, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and both the Southern and Northern Districts of New York.

He maintains membership in several professional organizations. Naumes is a member of the Mass Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Academy of Rail Labor Lawyers and the American Bar Association. Those affiliations reflect sustained involvement in trial practice and in matters related to labor and transportation law.

Colleagues describe Naumes as a practitioner who moves readily between public-sector work and private litigation. He has handled matters at the trial level and in administrative contexts, representing clients before state agencies and in federal court. At Naumes Law Group he continues that blend of public and private experience. He represents clients in civil litigation, labor and employment matters, and transportation law at Naumes Law Group.
