About Charlotte E.
Charlotte E. Glinka entered the legal profession after completing undergraduate studies at Rutgers University in New Brunswick and earning her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1991. She finished law school at a time when many new lawyers were still finding their footing. Glinka moved into practice and quickly established a courtroom presence.
Early in her career she gained admission to practice in Massachusetts and in the federal courts that serve the state, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. In 1995 she became a partner at The Keches Law Group, P.C., a development that marked a shift from associate work to firm leadership. That partnership has been a defining element of her professional life since the mid-1990s.
Glinka’s work has involved litigation in both state and federal venues. She has taken matters to trial and handled appeals, representing clients before juries and appellate panels. Admission to the First Circuit permits her to carry appeals beyond the trial court level, and her practice reflects the procedural demands of both trial and appellate work. Peers describe her approach as thorough and procedural-minded; she prepares filings and courtroom strategy with an eye toward how issues will play out at each stage.
Outside the courtroom she has remained active in professional associations. She is a current member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers. Those memberships have kept her connected to continuing education and developments in trial practice. They have also provided forums for the exchange of techniques and evolving case law that affect litigation in Massachusetts and the federal courts that sit here.
Colleagues and clients have relied on her steady handling of procedural and substantive tasks that arise in civil litigation. Over the years she has balanced the responsibilities of partnership with the demands of casework and court appearances. Her career path shows a steady progression from law school graduate to partner and courtroom practitioner. Her current practice centers on litigation in Massachusetts state courts and in federal courts, including the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the First Circuit.
