About Chanise
Chanise Anderson built her legal foundation in New England. She earned a J.D. from New England Law | Boston after completing a B.A. at the State University of New York College at Old Westbury. Her academic record set the stage for steady work in courtrooms and law offices in the Northeast.
Her early legal experience began in the mid-2000s with internships that exposed her to litigation and public-interest work. She served as a legal intern at Blustein, Shapiro, Rich & Barone in 2006 and later worked in the City Court 9th Judicial District as a legal intern for the Hon. Judge Brockett in 2009. In 2010 she led projects as a head intern for the New York Public Interest Research Group, managing outreach and research tasks tied to consumer and civic issues.
That steady path continued when she joined Burns and Harris as a legal secretary and then as a law clerk in 2013. The role gave her front-line experience drafting filings and supporting trial preparation. She moved into another law clerk position at Rawson, Merrigan & Litner, LLP in 2013, where she handled research and case management for civil matters.
Anderson’s work shifted toward medical malpractice when she joined Keches Law Group, P.C. as a medical malpractice law clerk in 2014. The next year she took on a lawyer role there. She was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 2015 and began practicing in the state that would shape the next phase of her career.
Outside of casework she holds certifications that broaden her professional reach. She is a licensed real estate broker registered with the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons. She is also IRS VITA/TCE certified, enabling her to volunteer on tax assistance programs for low-income and elderly taxpayers.
Her professional memberships include active participation in the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Black Lawyer’s Association, and Massachusetts Black Women Lawyers. Those affiliations reflect ongoing engagement with the local legal community and peer networks.
Colleagues describe Anderson as methodical in her file work and persistent in follow-up. She brings courtroom exposure, transactional licensing, and volunteer tax experience into her legal toolkit. She continues to practice in Massachusetts, handling matters that draw on her civil litigation and regulatory background.
She currently practices in Massachusetts and focuses her work on civil litigation matters and matters related to real estate and tax assistance.
