Christopher J Cadem earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota–Morris, double majoring in political science and psychology. He went on to the University of Minnesota Law School, where his studies concentrated on litigation and appeals. Those academic choices set a clear path for the work he would take on as a lawyer.
He began his legal career as an associate at Hatling Law Office in 2006. Early on he handled courtroom matters and learned the practical side of preparing cases for trial. Over time he established his own practice and today serves as a shareholder at Cadem Law Group, P.L.L.C. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
Cadem’s professional memberships trace a steady involvement in trial and plaintiff-oriented organizations. He has been a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice since 2006 and of the American Association for Justice since 2007. He also holds long-standing membership in the Minnesota State Bar Association.
His resume includes local and regional bar activity. He served with the Ramsey County Bar Association from 2005 to 2007, and he has been active in the Otter Tail County Bar Association, where he has served as secretary and treasurer since 2010. Outside the law, he has taken civic leadership roles. He has been an ambassador for the Fergus Falls Chamber of Commerce since 2007 and has held multiple posts in the Fergus Falls Jaycees, including treasurer, vice president and former president. He has been president of the Fergus Falls Lions Club since 2010.

He was included among members of the National Trial Lawyers–Top 100 from 2014 through 2019 and was listed by Lawyers of Distinction from 2018 to 2019.
