About Jared M.

Jared M. Nusbaum built his legal foundation through a steady academic progression and a string of practical roles that followed. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Pennsylvania State University in 2005 and completed his Juris Doctor at Marquette University Law School in 2009. Those years set the stage for a career that has spanned multiple jurisdictions and varied firm settings.

After law school Nusbaum entered practice as an associate. In 2010 he joined the Law Office of Rollie R. Hanson, S.C., where he handled day-to-day responsibilities typical of a small firm associate while gaining courtroom and client experience. That early period was a formative one, allowing him to test legal theories in real cases and to learn the practical demands of client representation.

In 2015 Nusbaum moved to Zlimen & McGuiness, PLLC. His title there is listed as lawyer. The change marked a transition from his earlier associate role to a position that has carried broader responsibilities. At Zlimen & McGuiness he has continued to work in an office environment that serves clients across state lines. The firm setting has given him the chance to work on matters that require coordination among colleagues and attention to procedural detail.

Licensure in more than one state figures into his professional profile. Nusbaum is admitted to practice in California, Minnesota and Wisconsin. He also maintains current professional memberships. That multi-state admission allows him to operate where cases touch more than one jurisdiction and to follow evolving legal rules in different forums.

Outside of his formal roles, Nusbaum’s background in psychology and his legal training intersect in practical ways. The undergraduate study of human behavior informs how he evaluates evidence and how he prepares witnesses. His legal education brought doctrine and procedure together, shaping a methodical approach to legal work.

Today Nusbaum practices at Zlimen & McGuiness, PLLC. He works on matters that involve the three states where he is licensed and handles the practical, procedural and client-facing aspects of representation that come with multi-jurisdictional practice. He currently focuses his practice on serving clients through his work at Zlimen & McGuiness, PLLC, handling cases across California, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
