About Christopher G.
Christopher G. Leasor trained first as a performer and later as a lawyer. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Wyoming in 2001 and completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Illinois College of Law in 2004. The shift from theatre to law informs his courtroom presence and his approach to advocacy.
He began his legal career in private practice, clerking at Grossman Law Offices in 2004. The following year he joined the Peoria County State's Lawyer's Office as an assistant state’s lawyer. That early stint in the prosecutor’s office exposed him to a steady stream of traffic and municipal matters and laid groundwork for more senior roles.
By 2008 Leasor had been named Chief Assistant for the Traffic Division at the Peoria County State's Lawyer's Office. In that capacity he oversaw traffic prosecutions and managed the division's daily operations. He moved back into private firm practice in 2007 and later served as an associate at Stephens, Fiddes, McGill & Associates. In 2013 he joined Hall, Rustom & Fritz, L.L.C. as an associate, returning to firm-based work after years in public service.
Leasor’s mix of public and private experience gives him familiarity with both sides of traffic enforcement and related courtroom procedures. He has handled matters typical to a county prosecutor’s office and has also worked on cases in a firm setting. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and steady under pressure. He brings courtroom experience and familiarity with local rules and procedures to his clients.
Now based in Illinois, Leasor practices at Hall, Rustom & Fritz, LLC. His background includes years in the Peoria County State's Lawyer's Office and subsequent associate roles at several law firms. He currently concentrates his practice on traffic-related matters and cases arising from municipal prosecutions.
