About Christine G.

Christine G. DeBernardis built a legal foundation at The College of New Jersey, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in 1996 with coursework in criminal law and a minor in Spanish. She continued her training at New England Law | Boston and received her J.D. in 1999. Those years in and around the classroom shaped a practical approach to practice and a readiness to handle procedural complexities.

After law school she moved into active practice and established a local presence that spans both state and federal forums. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and is admitted to the Federal Circuit. Early in her career she became involved in local bar work and has maintained that involvement. She is a current member of the Essex County Bar Association and the Newburyport Bar Association. She has been associated with Essex County Bar Advocates, Inc. since 1999 and continues that connection today.

Her work life is anchored in private practice. She operates the Law Offices of Christine DeBernardis and maintains an office presence that includes a Portsmouth location. That arrangement allows her to meet clients in both coastal and regional settings and to appear where cases require it. She has navigated filings across state lines and federal dockets, and her admissions enable appearances in multiple venues.

Colleagues describe her as steady in court and thorough on the papers. She moves deliberately through case preparation and pays attention to procedural detail. She balances court appearances with written advocacy and client consultations. That combination matters in multijurisdictional work, where timing and form can determine outcomes.

Outside of courtroom rhythms she keeps ties to community bar organizations and local legal networks. Those ties have continued for decades and inform how she engages with colleagues and clients. Her practice remains rooted in New England. Her current practice focuses on serving clients in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
