About Christi Lynn
Christi Lynn Schofield combined a business undergraduate degree and a law degree early in her career. She earned a B.B.A. from Gonzaga University in 2011 and a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2015. Those years set the pattern for practical legal training alongside classroom study. She moved from business studies into litigation and courtroom work during law school.
Her first legal roles were internships and an externship that brought steady exposure to public and private practice. In 2013 she worked for the U.S. Lawyer s Office. In 2014 she took legal internships at the Law Offices of John Gibson and at Gjording Fouser. While still a law student she spent time as a judicial extern in 2015 for Federal Magistrate Judge Irma Ramirez, where she was responsible for legal research and drafting memoranda used in the judge’s chambers.
After law school she entered private practice. In 2015 she joined Estes Thorne & Carr as an attorney, moving into firm life and client representation. Two years later she worked at Duke Scanlan & Hall, expanding her courtroom experience. By 2019 she was listed as a criminal defense lawyer with William Young & Associates. Across those positions she handled a range of matters that included courtroom pleadings, motions practice and client counseling.
Schofield holds licenses to practice in both Texas and Idaho. She has been a member of Idaho Women Lawyers since 2017, participating in a professional organization that serves the statewide bar. Her dual-state admissions allow her to accept matters that implicate rules and procedures in more than one jurisdiction. Colleagues describe her path as one that moved quickly from internships to courtroom roles.
She practices from the offices of William Young & Associates, where her work is concentrated on criminal defense and related litigation. Her current practice includes representing clients in criminal matters and providing counsel throughout the stages of prosecution and defense.
