About Chris
Chris Traina built a foundation that crosses disciplines. He earned a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University. Those degrees preceded a law degree from Nova Southeastern University, where he trained in legal research, writing and analysis. The combination of technical coursework and a journalism background informs how he approaches complex legal problems and prepares written work.
After law school, Traina qualified to practice in Florida and secured admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He also holds registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Those credentials allow him to file federal litigation in the Southern District and to represent inventors before the USPTO. He is an attorney at Christopher & Weisberg, P.A., where he handles matters that intersect intellectual property and federal practice.
Members of local and specialty bar organizations are part of his professional landscape. He maintains active memberships in the Broward County Bar Association and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Florida. Those affiliations keep him connected to colleagues across county lines and to peers who practice in intellectual property.
Traina’s dual undergraduate degrees shape how he evaluates client matters. His computer science background helps when technical detail matters, particularly in patent-related work. His journalism training influences how he drafts pleadings, patent applications and client communications. At the firm he works on trademark matters as well as patent prosecution. He handles written filings, client counseling and procedural work before administrative bodies.
He remains based at Christopher & Weisberg, P.A., where his practice concentrates on intellectual property issues, including patent and trademark matters.
