About Chris

Chris Patience earned his law degree from Arizona State University. He completed the Juris Doctor program there before beginning his legal career in Arizona. His education at a large public law school gave him exposure to a variety of litigation courses and practical clinics.

He is licensed to practice law in Arizona and is associated with a firm that carries his name. Patience has spent his professional life working at Skousen, Gulbrandsen & Patience PLC. Across his career he has been involved in the daily demands of trial practice, case preparation and client counseling that come with representing clients in state courts.

Patience holds memberships in the Arizona Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. Those organizations are composed largely of trial lawyers and advocates for civil justice. His participation in these groups points to sustained engagement with courtroom procedures, continuing legal education and the network of attorneys who handle contested matters.

Colleagues and peers describe his approach as pragmatic and detail-oriented. He prepares cases methodically and tends to break complex issues into manageable parts. That approach serves him in discovery, briefing and courtroom settings. He also spends time keeping up with developments in procedural rules and trial practice through the professional groups he belongs to.

Outside the courtroom, Patience contributes to the firm's strategy on case selection and litigation planning. He has handled matters that require careful negotiation as well as those that proceed to trial. He balances client-facing work with the behind-the-scenes research and motion practice that shape outcomes in contested matters.

At Skousen, Gulbrandsen & Patience PLC, he works alongside other attorneys who focus on litigation. The firm’s practice is centered in Arizona courts, where Patience is an active member of the bar. He continues to participate in association events and educational programs that address trial advocacy and civil justice issues.

He currently practices law in Arizona at Skousen, Gulbrandsen & Patience PLC, concentrating on litigation and trial-related work in state courts.
