About Charmaine
Charmaine Wilde earned a B.A. from Southern Utah University in 2008 and completed her J.D. at Baylor Law School in 2012. She began her legal training during a period of practical courtroom exposure and community involvement, then moved into practice in Texas after finishing law school. Her academic path combined a liberal arts undergraduate education with three years of professional legal study.
Her career in the Texas legal community has been steady and public-facing. She has been active in the Hays County Bar Association since 2012 and served as the association’s president from 2012 through 2018. She joined the association’s Board of Directors in 2013 and has remained on the board. Those roles have kept her involved in local bar initiatives and peer education programs.
Wilde’s professional credentials emphasize alternative dispute resolution and guardianship work. She holds mediator credentials from Mediators and Arbitrators of America. The State Bar of Texas has approved her as a Guardianship Lawyer and granted her Guardianship ad Litem Certification. She is also a Certified Guardian through the JBCC of Texas, a designation she has maintained since 2016. In addition to those certifications, she is listed as a candidate-member of the Texas Association of Mediators as of 2023.
Her practice concentrates on matters that require both procedural know-how and sensitive client contact. She handles guardianship proceedings, serves in guardianship roles when appointed, and accepts ad litem assignments. As a mediator she conducts settlement sessions in contested disputes and works with parties to explore negotiated outcomes. Her work often involves coordinating with courts, service providers, and families to implement care plans and court orders.
Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who has combined bar leadership and specialized certification to build a particular practice niche. She continues to participate in professional organizations related to mediation and guardianship and remains active in county bar governance. Wilde practices law in Texas and maintains certifications that allow her to serve as a mediator, a court-approved guardianship lawyer, an ad litem in guardianship matters, and a certified guardian.
