About Charlotte
Charlotte Towne is an attorney based in Florida who earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in 2008. She completed her legal studies after several years of undergraduate work and entered the legal profession at a time when the state’s courts were evolving in response to economic and regulatory change. Her law school years included both classroom instruction and practical training that prepared her for litigation and appellate work.
After law school, Towne began practicing in Florida and obtained admission to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Those admissions allow her to represent clients in Florida state courts and in federal appellate proceedings. Over time she has built a practice that spans trial-level matters and appeals, drawing on courtroom experience and appellate briefing.
Her career has been conducted from a small firm environment. She practices at Charlotte Towne, P.A., handling matters that require both trial advocacy and appellate strategy. Working in a compact office structure has required hands-on involvement in case management, client counseling, and court filings. That setup has also meant direct contact with judges, opposing counsel, and clients at every stage of a case.
Towne’s approach to cases is practical. She sorts through factual records, focuses on legal arguments that matter, and prepares clear briefs and oral presentations. In appellate matters she pays attention to the record, frames errors in law, and prepares concise arguments aimed at judges who expect precision. In trial work she prepares witnesses, organizes exhibits, and attends to evidentiary practice.
Outside the courtroom she has engaged in work that supports litigation — drafting pleadings, researching statutory and case law, and coordinating discovery. Her practice reflects an emphasis on careful preparation rather than flashy litigation tactics. Clients receive straightforward advice about risks, likely outcomes, and procedural options.
In the current stage of her career she continues to represent clients in Florida courts and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Her current practice centers on representation in state and federal courts.
