About Charles Ward

Charles Ward Faquin built his legal foundation in the classroom and then in court. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of the South in 2005 and completed his Juris Doctor at Loyola University New Orleans in 2009. Those academic years gave him training in legal research, writing and advocacy that he later applied at the trial level.

He began his professional path in Tennessee, taking on matters that required appearances in state and federal court. Over time he became admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, in addition to his state bar admission in Tennessee. That mix of admissions has shaped the kind of cases he handles and the venues where he practices.

Faquin’s work has ranged across different types of litigation. He has prepared pleadings, argued motions and tried cases before judges and juries. Colleagues describe him as a practitioner who attends to procedural detail and who values preparation. He has worked on matters that required familiarity with federal procedures as well as Tennessee state practice, and has guided clients through pretrial discovery and courtroom proceedings.

In private practice he opened and operates the Law Office of Charles W. Faquin, PLC. As principal he manages case strategy, client intake and courtroom advocacy. The firm handles litigation that may begin in state court and proceed into federal court depending on jurisdictional issues, making the dual admissions practical for clients who face complex procedural questions.

Outside the courtroom Faquin has stayed connected to the legal community in Tennessee. His education in Spanish also informs occasional work that involves Spanish-speaking clients or documents. He brings that background to case communication and client interviews when language access is relevant.

The arc of his career shows a steady movement from training to courtroom work and then to running a small firm where he combines litigation practice with case management. He remains active in matters filed in Tennessee state courts and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee. His current practice concentrates on trial and litigation practice in those state and federal courts.
