About Charles D. Garner
Charles D. Garner Jr. has built a steady legal career that begins in the 1980s and continues into the present. He completed his undergraduate studies at Ursinus College, earning a B.A. in 1983. He then attended Dickinson School of Law and received his J.D. in 1986. Those years set the stage for immediate entry into practice.
He joined Reynier, Crocker, Allebach & Reber as a lawyer in 1986. That early period was formative. He handled day-to-day client matters, gained courtroom experience and learned the practical demands of running a law practice. Over the next decade he developed the skills that would lead him to start his own firm.
In 1998 he became a founding partner of Garner & Bauer. As a founding partner, he helped shape the firm’s operations and steer its client work. The role required both legal judgment and management decisions. It also expanded his profile in local legal circles.
In 2012 he took a position with Wolf, Baldwin & Associates. That move placed him in a different firm environment and added another chapter to a long career. Across these roles he has worked in multiple office settings and with a range of colleagues and clients.
Garner is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and has maintained an active presence in the state’s legal community. He has worked from offices in Pottstown, Reading and West Chester, serving clients across those regions. His practice has combined courtroom work and client counseling, shaped by years of handling diverse matters for businesses and individuals.
Colleagues describe him as experienced in the practical aspects of legal work. He has been involved in case preparation, client advisement and firm administration at various points in his career. Those experiences inform how he approaches matters now. He is comfortable in both trial settings and in advising clients on transactional issues.
Over a career that spans decades, Garner has moved between roles as an associate, a founding partner and later as a lawyer in an established firm. That path reflects a common arc in private practice: lawyering, firm leadership and continued client service. He continues to serve clients from offices in Pottstown, Reading and West Chester, focusing his current practice on representing clients across Pennsylvania.
