About Cayley
Cayley Turrin built a legal path that moved quickly from the classroom to the courtroom. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2013 and completed her J.D. at Cumberland School of Law, Samford University in 2015. Those years set the foundation for a practice rooted in trial work and courtroom procedure.
After law school she began working in courtrooms and government offices. In 2015 she served as a law clerk in the 21st Judicial District Court and also worked in the Lawyer General Office for the State of Tennessee. Earlier, in 2014, she gained practical experience through an internship with Memphis Area Legal Services. Those early roles gave her exposure to both public-sector practice and client-facing legal assistance.
In 2016 she took on contract work at large firms. She worked as a contract lawyer for Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP and for Nelson Mullins Encompass. Those short-term engagements exposed her to complex litigation support and the processes of bigger law firms. They also offered contrasts to the smaller-office legal practice she would later establish.
She now runs her own practice. As owner of Law Office Cayley Turrin, she handles cases out of an office listed under the name Cayley J. Turrin Lawyer at Law. Managing a solo practice means she oversees case strategy, client intake, and the daily operations of the firm. Her work blends courtroom appearances with client counseling and case preparation.
Her professional affiliations reflect areas where she maintains active ties. She holds membership in the Tennessee Bar Association, the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, the Lawyers Association for Women, the Nashville Bar Association, and the Williamson County Bar Association.
