About Cassie
Cassie Bowns began her legal path at Liberty University, where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Government. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law. Her academic background combined political science and law, grounding her understanding of state and local legal systems.
Her early work in the courthouse came as a law clerk for the Prince William County Circuit Court. In that role she supported judges and court staff, conducted legal research, and assisted in preparing memoranda and draft opinions. The clerkship gave her an inside view of courtroom procedure and the pace of state-court practice.
After the clerkship she joined The Manassas Law Group, PC as an associate. There she handled client intake, drafted pleadings and motions, and participated in hearings. Her work has involved managing litigation files, coordinating discovery, and preparing cases for trial when necessary. Colleagues describe her as methodical in her case preparation and attentive to procedural detail.
Bowns’s day-to-day practice includes legal research, client counseling, and motion practice. She spends considerable time preparing court filings and arguing procedural matters before judges. She also works directly with clients to explain steps in the process, outline options, and set expectations for timelines and outcomes. Her approach to cases is practical; she aims to identify the most efficient path through court processes while keeping clients informed.
Outside the courtroom she continues to engage with local legal institutions. Her background in government studies and her experience in the Prince William County courthouse inform how she approaches matters that touch on local government and state procedural issues. She keeps current on developments in Virginia law through continuing education and firm-based collaboration.
In 2026 Cassie Bowns remains on staff at The Manassas Law Group, PC in Manassas, Virginia. She practices in Virginia state courts and focuses her current work on representing clients in state-court matters and advising them on issues arising under Virginia law.
