About Candace Renee
Candace Renee Duff earned her B.A. from Vassar College in 1989 and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1992. She completed a rigorous legal education in Philadelphia and returned to practice in Florida. Her coursework and training at Penn Law set the stage for a career that spans litigation, mediation and counsel work across state and federal forums.
She began her post-law school career in 1992 at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, where she served as a shareholder. At that firm she worked on matters that required detailed legal analysis and courtroom preparation. Over the years she moved between roles that required advocacy and roles that required bringing parties together to resolve disputes outside the courtroom.
In 2014 she launched Duff Law & Mediation, PLLC and became its principal. The move formalized a shift toward dispute resolution while keeping an active litigation practice. At her firm she manages client files, conducts mediations and represents clients in complex matters that often touch on both contract and family law themes. Her professional path reflects an interest in both trial work and neutral third-party intervention.
Duff is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. Supreme Court. She holds several certifications that mark her practice choices: she is a Family Law Mediator, a Circuit Civil Mediator and an Appellate Mediator certified by the Florida Supreme Court, and she holds a certification in Construction Law from the Florida State Bar. Those credentials allow her to serve in a variety of roles—advocate, settlement facilitator and appellate strategist—depending on the needs of the case.
Colleagues and clients describe her work as methodical and pragmatic. She tends to break complicated disputes into discrete problems. That approach helps clarify options for parties who face both legal and practical tradeoffs. She handles preparation and follow-through in mediation sessions, and she prepares briefs and records when matters move to appellate review.
Duff Law & Mediation operates as a small firm that emphasizes direct attorney involvement in each matter. The firm’s practice mixes mediation services with representation in family, construction and appellate matters. She currently practices at Duff Law & Mediation, PLLC focusing on mediation, family law, construction law and appellate matters.
