Camilla Y. Chan is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006 and holds bar number 241674. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Chan is a partner at Raines Feldman LLP, a law firm located in Los Angeles, California. She has been practicing law for over 20 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Ms. Chan earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she graduated in 2005. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the College of William and Mary, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government in 1996. She also earned a Master of Science in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2001. During her time at Georgetown, she was a member of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review.
Ms. Chan concentrates her practice in the areas of business litigation, real estate law, and intellectual property. She represents clients in matters involving business contracts, business dissolution, business finance, business formation, business litigation, franchising, mergers and acquisitions, partnership and shareholder disputes, commercial real estate, condominiums, easements, eminent domain, homeowners association issues, land use and zoning, mortgages, neighbor disputes, residential real estate, and water law. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Chan has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Raines Feldman LLP, she worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Ms. Chan is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. She holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. She is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Ms. Chan is fluent in English, Cantonese, and French, allowing her to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
