About C. Brandon Sellers
C. Brandon Sellers III earned his law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1993 after completing a Bachelor of Science at Troy State University in 1989, where he studied history and mathematics. His academic path paired the analytical side of math with the narrative and contextual study of history. That combination informed a practical approach to legal problems early in his career.
He began practicing law in 1993 at Allenstein & Associates. Two years later he opened Sellers Law Office, the firm he still operates. Over more than three decades in practice he has handled matters in both state and federal courts. He is admitted to the bar in Alabama and to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama, as well as the Eleventh Circuit.
Sellers’s memberships trace a steady engagement with professional organizations. He joined the American Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar in 1993. He later became a member of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association in 2002 and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers in 2005. He also holds membership in the Butler County Bar Association. Those affiliations reflect the areas he has worked in and the communities in which he practices.
Throughout his career, Sellers has balanced two primary types of practice. He represents individuals in consumer bankruptcy proceedings, guiding them through Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings and related matters. He also defends clients in criminal cases in state and federal courts. He appears regularly in district courts and has taken appellate matters to the Eleventh Circuit when cases required it. His courtroom work includes pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings and trials, and post-judgment proceedings when necessary.
Clients and colleagues often note his steady courtroom presence and straightforward preparation. He runs a small firm that handles a mix of individual bankruptcy and criminal defense dockets. The office structure allows him to follow cases from initial intake through resolution. He remains active in bar activities and continuing legal education programs relevant to bankruptcy and criminal law.
As of 2026 Sellers continues to practice at Sellers Law Office. He maintains active admissions in Alabama and the federal courts listed above and focuses his practice on consumer bankruptcy and criminal defense matters.
