About Bruce
Bruce Kehoe trained first in science and then in law. He earned a B.S. from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1973 and returned to campus to receive his J.D. from Indiana University in 1980. Those two degrees set the stage for a practice built on courtroom work and careful preparation.
Soon after law school he began practicing in Indiana. Over the decades he has become identified with trial work. He is a partner at Wilson Kehoe Winingham, where he continues to try cases in state courts across Indiana. The firm listing is brief. His role there is not.
Trial work is threaded through his professional life. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a designation earned by experienced trial lawyers. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and holds memberships in multiple professional organizations, including the Indianapolis Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He has been active in the Indiana State Bar Association since 1980.
Kehoe has also taken on roles outside the courtroom. He is an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy Seminar for Trial Skills, teaching courtroom techniques and trial strategy to newer lawyers. He has authored and lectured at seminars for ITLA, PESI and ICLEF, offering practical guidance on trial preparation and advocacy. Those educational efforts have been part of his public profile for years.
Colleagues describe him as steady in court and exacting in preparation. He has balanced practice and teaching for much of his career. That balance has allowed him to remain active in professional groups while maintaining a trial docket.
Outside of law, he holds a private pilot certificate. Flying is a long-standing interest that he has kept alongside his legal work. It is one of the few nonlegal details that surfaces when people sketch his life outside the office.
Kehoe’s practice remains anchored in Indiana. He tries cases, teaches trial skills and contributes to professional organizations at the state and national levels. He currently practices as a partner at Wilson Kehoe Winingham, where his work centers on trial litigation in Indiana.
