About Brittany

Brittany Ford earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2015 after completing a B.A. at the University of North Florida in 2012. She was a member of the Order of the Coif during her time in law school, an indicator of strong academic performance. Her legal education laid a foundation in trial skills and federal practice that has shaped her early career.

After law school she entered private practice and joined St. Denis & Davey as an associate. In that role she has taken on courtroom responsibilities and case preparation tasks typical for early-career litigators. She is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, which allows her to represent clients in both state and federal forums.

Ford maintains memberships in several professional organizations. She is a current member of The Florida Bar and the Jacksonville Bar Association. She also holds memberships in the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and the Jacksonville Women’s Lawyers Association. Those affiliations reflect an ongoing engagement with the local legal community and with groups that provide networking and education opportunities for women in the profession.

Colleagues describe her work as diligent and steady. As an associate she handles discovery, motion practice, and client counseling under the supervision of more senior lawyers at her firm. Her practice has involved preparing pleadings, attending hearings, and participating in depositions. She has experience managing deadlines and coordinating with opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel in matters that proceed in both state and federal venues.

Outside of litigation tasks she contributes to firm efforts on case strategy and trial readiness. Her law school training and early courtroom experience inform how she prepares factual and legal analyses for clients and for supervising attorneys. She balances written advocacy with in-person court appearances and client contact.

At present she practices at St. Denis & Davey in Jacksonville, where she represents clients in matters pursued in Florida courts and in the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Her current practice focuses on litigation in those state and federal courts.
