About Britney
Britney McPheron built her path to the bar through study and steady, local practice. She earned a B.A. in English and Communication from Ohio State University, and went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2014. Those years laid the groundwork for a career centered in Virginia courts and community institutions.
Her first formal legal experience came while she was still in law school. In 2014 she worked as a legal intern at Bowen Ten Cardani, PC. That placement gave her an introduction to client work, file preparation and courtroom procedure. The internship also established ties to a firm she would return to in later years.
After graduation she moved into associate roles. In 2015 she served as an associate attorney at Smith Strong, PLLC and at Bowen Ten Cardani, PC. Those positions involved managing client matters, drafting pleadings and appearing in hearings. Colleagues from that period describe her as practical and methodical in handling casework, able to move a file forward while keeping clients informed.
McPheron is admitted to practice in Virginia. She maintains active participation in local professional groups. She is the membership chair for the Metro Richmond Women’s Bar Association and holds memberships in the Henrico Bar Association, Richmond Bar Association and the Metro Richmond Family Law Bar Association. Her involvement extends into local chambers of commerce, including HYPE–Richmond and the Hanover Chamber of Commerce, where she connects with community members and area professionals.
She practices from Bowen Ten, PC’s Hanover office. Her courtroom and client work reflect the networks she has built across Richmond and Hanover courts. She continues to handle family-related matters and civil cases that arise in the region, balancing courtroom appearances with transactional and client counseling work. Her current practice centers on family law and related civil matters.
