About Brian S
Brian S Brijbag combines a background in public health and anthropology with legal training. He moved from graduate study into law after earning multiple degrees at the University of South Florida and later a J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. His path is not the usual route for a solo lawyer, and the different disciplines show up in how he thinks about legal problems.
He completed dual bachelor's degrees in Religious Studies and Anthropology at the University of South Florida in 2010. Two years later he finished both a Master of Arts in Applied Anthropology and a Master of Public Health, also at USF. He then enrolled at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and earned his Juris Doctor in 2020.
After law school he established his practice in Florida. Since 2020 he has served as Managing Lawyer at the Law Office of Brian S Brijbag PLLC. He is licensed to practice in Florida and holds a national certification in public health from the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Those credentials give him technical grounding in health and regulatory matters alongside his legal qualifications.
His involvement in the bar extends to the Solo & Small Firm Section of The Florida Bar, where he was a member of the Publication Committee in 2020. That role speaks to a practical interest in the issues that solo practitioners and small firms face, from practice management to legal writing for a professional audience. He also participates in professional groups that connect smaller practices across the state.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and attentive to detail. Clients see a lawyer who can explain complex administrative and regulatory material in plain language. His anthropology training also informs how he frames problems; it encourages attention to context and to the human elements behind paperwork and procedure.
He maintains a solo practice through the Law Office of Brian S Brijbag PLLC. He practices in Florida and concentrates on matters handled through his private practice while applying his public health background where it is relevant.
