About Brian Joseph

Brian Joseph Lockwood earned his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 1994. He completed his legal education in the early 1990s and has since practiced in multiple states. The law school background provided the foundation for a career largely connected to criminal defense.

Early in his career Lockwood became involved in criminal defense circles. He joined the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2002 and maintained that national affiliation while building regional ties. From 2002 to 2011 he was a member of the Nebraska Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Beginning in 2012 he expanded his professional engagement to Alabama, joining both the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Mobile Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, where he remains a member.

Lockwood is admitted to practice in Nebraska, California, and Alabama. That multi-jurisdictional standing has allowed him to handle matters that cross state lines and to advise clients on a variety of procedural and substantive issues. Over the years his work has involved courtroom representation, pretrial advocacy, plea negotiations and other standard aspects of criminal defense practice. He has balanced trial work with case preparation and client counseling.

Colleagues and contacts recognize that he has sustained a steady presence in defense organizations. His long-running membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers dates back to 2002. The span of affiliations reflects a practice that has moved through different regions while maintaining a connection to national and local bar activity. His Nebraska membership from 2002 to 2011 and his Alabama memberships from 2012 to the present mark distinct phases of professional affiliation.

He practices under the name Law Office of Brian J. Lockwood, LLC. That office serves as the base for his ongoing legal work and client representation. Today he continues to represent individuals in criminal matters across the jurisdictions where he is licensed. His current practice centers on criminal defense matters.
