About Brian David
Brian David Livingston built his legal foundations in Texas classrooms and courtrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2012 and completed his J.D. at Texas Tech University School of Law in 2015. Those academic years set the stage for an early move into public defense and trial work.
Fresh out of law school, Livingston gained hands-on courtroom experience. In 2014 he worked as a student lawyer at the Caprock Regional Public Defender Office. The following year he handled trial work at the El Paso County Public Defender's Office and also spent time at The Law Offices of Joseph D. Vasquez. Those roles placed him on the front lines of criminal litigation and client representation at a formative point in his career.
Livingston’s professional memberships reflect steady engagement in the legal community. He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 2013. He joined the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association in 2014 and the Texas Young Lawyers Association in 2015. He has held membership in the State Bar of Texas since 2016. Those affiliations connect him to resources and colleagues across the state and country.
Courtroom work early in his career involved arraignments, plea negotiations, bench hearings and jury trials. The combination of public defender experience and private practice work exposed him to a range of misdemeanor and felony matters. He handled clients at different stages of the criminal process and learned to manage evidence, witness preparation and trial strategy under pressure.
Colleagues describe him as practical and direct in handling casework. He tends to approach cases by breaking facts down and testing them against the law. That method is visible in his litigation track record from the years immediately after law school, when he moved between regional public defender offices and private practice.
Livingston practices in Texas. He continues to build his practice by drawing on early trial experience and ongoing participation in state and national bar organizations. He currently concentrates on criminal defense in Texas.
