About Brian D.

Brian D. Shapiro built his legal foundation in Southern California classrooms. He earned an A.A. in General Education from Orange Coast College in 2010. He went on to California State University, Long Beach, where he completed a B.S. in Social Sciences in 2013. He finished his formal legal training at Western State University College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2016.

After law school, Shapiro began practicing in California. He is licensed to practice in the state and works from the offices of the Law Offices of William D. Shapiro. His path from community college to law school was steady and literal; the dates on his degrees mark a direct progression toward a legal career in the region where he studied.

At the Law Offices of William D. Shapiro he performs the everyday work that keeps a law practice functioning: client interviews, legal research, drafting court papers and appearing in court when matters require. He handles the procedural and substantive tasks that move cases forward. His background in the social sciences informs how he frames factual disputes and communicates with clients who are often facing stressful situations.

Colleagues describe his approach as deliberate. He breaks complex problems into their component parts and focuses on practical next steps. He spends time preparing written analyses and outlining options. He also spends time in court. That combination of writing and courtroom work is a common feature of practice in California courts, and it is a regular part of his daily routine.

Outside the office he maintains the ties he formed in school and in the local legal community. Those relationships help when cases call for coordinated responses or when a matter benefits from specialized expertise elsewhere. He continues to build experience in California law while handling the variety of matters that come through a busy regional practice. He currently practices at the Law Offices of William D. Shapiro, where he focuses on matters arising under California law.
