Brian C. Cichon earned his J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1995 after completing a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Loras College in 1992. He entered law school after an undergraduate grounding in numbers and bookkeeping. The combination of legal training and an accounting background shaped his early approach to casework and client counseling.
He began his legal career in 1995 at the Will County State's Lawyer Office, where he handled matters typical of a county law office. That role gave him courtroom time and early exposure to litigation and public-service responsibilities. In 1998 he moved to Rathbun, Cservenyak & Kozol, which expanded his experience in private practice and added civil and administrative work to his portfolio.
In 2001 Cichon joined Schenk, Duffy, McNamara, Phelan, Carey & Ford. He became active in bar groups around the same time. He has been a member of the Illinois State Bar Association since 1995 and joined the Will County Bar Association in 1996.
