About Brett D.
Brett D. Budlong began his academic path in business, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University in 2006. He stayed in the Southeast for law school and received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2009. Those years set the stage for an early entry into private practice and court work.
He started his legal career as an associate at The Geheren Firm in 2009. Three years later he joined Seyfarth Shaw as an associate, a move that placed him in a different firm environment and offered new rhythms of practice. In 2014 he became an associate at Graybill, Lansche & Vinzani, LLC, where he continued to build experience across matters handled by the firm.
Beyond firm work, Budlong holds a LEED Green Associate credential from the U.S. Green Building Council. That credential signals familiarity with green building standards and sustainability principles as they intersect with construction and real estate concerns. He is admitted to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina, and he is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Budlong’s trajectory shows steady movement through several firms over the first half of his career, taking on responsibilities that come with associate roles in different settings. He has navigated both local and federal admission requirements and maintains professional standing that allows for appearances in state and federal venues where he is admitted.
He practices law at Graybill, Lansche & Vinzani, LLC and performs work that requires state court representation in Georgia and South Carolina as well as federal court appearances where authorized. He handles matters in Georgia and South Carolina, including appearances in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
