About Brent

Brent Wieand combined a business undergraduate degree and a science minor before turning to law. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Business Management and a minor in Natural Science. He then earned his J.D. at Emory University School of Law. The mix of business training and legal education shaped a practical approach to problems, one that tends to look for facts that matter and explanations that hold up under scrutiny.

After law school he gained the credentials to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Those admitted jurisdictions frame much of his day-to-day work. He participates in professional life beyond the office. Memberships in local and national organizations keep him connected to peers and current litigation trends.

His professional affiliations include the Philadelphia Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. Those groups provide sources of continuing education and opportunities for trial-oriented collaboration. He draws on those resources to stay current on courtroom procedures, evidence issues, and evolving case law that affects clients in the region.

Wieand maintains a multi-office presence in the Philadelphia area. He sees clients and handles matters from locations in Philadelphia, Radnor, Plymouth Meeting and Malvern. That geographic spread lets him work with people across several suburban and urban communities while keeping a steady presence in the city where much of the litigation is filed.

Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as methodical and direct in court. He emphasizes preparation, clear presentation of facts and orderly development of legal arguments. He also brings his business background into client conversations, translating complex financial or operational details into material the judge or jury can follow.

Outside the courtroom he participates in association activities that focus on trial technique and legal education. Those activities include seminars, local bar events and discussion groups where trial lawyers trade approaches to evidence and courtroom strategy. He uses those forums to refine courtroom practice and to exchange practical insights with other lawyers who handle contested matters.

He currently practices law from offices in Philadelphia, Radnor, Plymouth Meeting and Malvern, representing clients in civil litigation and trial matters.
