About Brent
Brent Hardy completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University in 1986, earning a Bachelor of Science in economics and business. He remained in academic pursuit and graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1989. Those credentials placed him at the start of a legal career that would be centered in Texas and in its federal courts.
After law school Mr. Hardy secured the authorizations needed to practice in the state and federal systems. He is admitted to the State of Texas bar, and he holds admission to multiple federal forums: the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, the Eastern District of Texas, the Southern District of Texas, and the Northern District of Texas. Those admissions allow him to file pleadings, appear at hearings, and pursue litigation across the five major trial jurisdictions that cover the state.
Across decades of practice he has worked within the scope those admissions provide. His background combines a foundation in economics and business with formal legal training from Texas Tech. That combination informs how he approaches matters that arise under Texas law and in federal court. He has managed procedural filings, court appearances, and the sort of pretrial and trial work that federal litigation in those districts requires.
Colleagues and clients who have worked with him describe a lawyer familiar with the demands of both state-court matters and federal litigation. He has developed practical familiarity with the local rules and practices of several district courts in Texas. That knowledge supports efforts to move cases efficiently through initial filings, discovery, and court hearings when they arise.
When he is not in court Mr. Hardy’s educational background remains a point of reference. The economics degree from Vanderbilt and the J.D. from Texas Tech inform his analysis of case strategy and legal risk. He continues to maintain admissions across the state and federal courts listed above. His current practice addresses matters presented in Texas and in the Western, Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of Texas.
