About Breanne M.
Breanne M. Bucher began her path in law after earning a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University in 2007. She continued at Valparaiso University, receiving her J.D. in 2010. During her time in law school she gained hands-on courtroom exposure as an intern and extern at the Lake County Public Defender’s Office in 2008, work that shaped her early interest in advocacy for young people and families.
After law school Bucher took an associate position at Bucher Law Group, LLC in 2010. She later joined Walden, Neitzke & Kuhary, S.C. as an associate lawyer. Over the years she has balanced private practice responsibilities with roles in the local court system. Since 2016 she has served as a court commissioner to The Hon. William J. Domina in Waukesha County, a position that places her regularly in the county’s judicial operations.
Bucher’s professional life is marked by sustained involvement in juvenile and family law circles. She has been active in the Waukesha County Bar Association’s Juvenile Law Section, serving as chair beginning in 2013. She co-chairs the Waukesha County Juvenile Summit Committee, a role she took on in 2015. Her volunteer work includes participating in the Family and Juvenile Law Clinic since 2013, where she has provided legal services and advice to individuals who might otherwise lack access to counsel.
Her engagement extends beyond the courtroom. Bucher has sat on the Waukesha County United Way Advisory Board Committee since 2011 and joined the Community Outreach Committee of the Association of Women Lawyers in Wisconsin in 2010. Those positions have kept her connected to civic and legal education efforts in the county and the state.
Peers describe her as steady in court and attentive in clinic settings. She has regularly moved between formal adjudicative duties and hands-on client work. That combination has given her repeated exposure to procedural and substantive issues affecting children and families, from initial hearings to case conferences and community outreach events.
Bucher is licensed to practice in Wisconsin and maintains ties to local bar organizations and civic groups that intersect with family and juvenile matters. She practices at Walden, Neitzke & Kuhary, S.C., and continues to handle family and juvenile law matters in Waukesha County and across Wisconsin.
