About Brandon
Brandon Hornsby earned his law degree from Emory University School of Law in 1994 after completing undergraduate studies at Florida State University College of Law, where he received a B.A. in 1991. He entered the profession at a time of steady change in both federal and state practice. The two academic stops provided him formal training and the credentials to begin public service work shortly after graduation.
Hornsby moved into public practice immediately after law school. In 1994 he served as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Clayton County District Lawyer’s Office. That early courtroom and prosecutorial work gave him exposure to trial procedures and case preparation under the pressures of local government practice. In 1997 he accepted a role as a Special Assistant U.S. Lawyer at the United States Lawyer’s Office, a post that involved coordination with federal prosecutors and civil enforcement matters. By 2000 he was working in private practice as Of Counsel to L. Lin Wood, P.C., taking on civil litigation assignments and client counseling. Two years later he founded Hornsby Law Group and became its president, transitioning to firm leadership and management while maintaining an active caseload.
His professional memberships trace a path through several areas of law. He holds current memberships in the Taxpayers Against Fraud Whistleblower Lawyers Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association, which align him with practitioners who handle whistleblower claims and employment disputes. He is also a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Lawyer’s Club of Atlanta, and the Georgia State Bar. Those associations place him in networks that cover civil litigation, employment law, and public interest enforcement, and they provide regular opportunities for CLE and local bar engagement.
Over the years Hornsby’s work has moved from public-sector prosecution to private civil practice and firm leadership. He has balanced litigation and client advisory roles and spent time alongside federal and state attorneys early in his career. He leads Hornsby Law Group, where he manages firm operations and client matters. He practices in Georgia and handles cases that include whistleblower and employment-related claims as part of his current practice focus.
