About Brandi L.
Brandi L. Ward built a path to law from a varied undergraduate program. She earned a B.A. from Drury University in 2003 after studying biology, psychology and global studies. She went on to attend the University of Missouri–Columbia School of Law, where she prepared for a career in private practice and courtroom work.
Her earliest recorded position in the legal field is at The Copeland Law Office, where she worked beginning in 2005. That role placed her in daily practice soon after finishing law school. It also gave her a foundation in client work and the routines of running case files in a small firm environment.
Ward remained active in county and state bar activities as her career progressed. She joined the Missouri Bar in 2006 and has maintained membership since then. She also held membership in the Boone County Bar Association from 2006 until 2013 and joined the Taney County Bar Association in 2010, where she continues to participate.
In 2013 she opened her own firm, Ward Law Office, serving as lawyer and owner. Building a solo practice required juggling case management, client development and the administrative duties that come with operating a small firm. The shift to ownership marked a clear move from associate work to running a practice on her own terms.
Ward is licensed to practice in Missouri and is also admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Those admissions allow her to handle matters in state courts and to take appeals or federal matters that fall within the Eighth Circuit’s jurisdiction. Over the years she has maintained a steady presence in local bar organizations while managing the demands of private practice.
Colleagues describe her approach as practical and matter-of-fact. She focuses on presenting clear options to clients, laying out risks and possible outcomes so decisions can be made intentionally. In private practice she handles the full cycle of client representation, from intake through resolution. She now runs Ward Law Office, where she represents clients in matters arising under Missouri law and in the Eighth Circuit.
