About Bradley R

Bradley R Coppedge earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from Mercer University in 1989. He went on to receive a J.D. from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 1993 and completed an LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Miami School of Law in 1996. Those credentials set a clear path toward tax and estate work early in his career.

Coppedge moved into private practice soon after his advanced study. In 1997 he became a partner at Hatcher, Stubbs, Land, Hollis & Rothschild, LLP, where he handled transactional and advisory matters over several years. He later served as a partner and shareholder at Hall Booth Smith, P.C., beginning in 2016. In 2022 he joined Goggans, Stutzman, Hudson, Wilson & Mize, LLP as of counsel and was elevated to partner in 2024.

He is admitted to practice before the Georgia bar and has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1996. He is also admitted in Alabama and before the United States Tax Court. His bar memberships and court admissions reflect a practice that spans state and federal tax issues as well as estate matters.

Colleagues and clients have seen him involved in industry organizations that intersect with his practice areas. He served as a trustee of the Georgia Federal Tax Conference from 2014 through 2023. Since 2015 he has been a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council. Those roles have kept him connected to developments in tax policy and estate planning practice.

Coppedge’s work is a mix of planning, dispute avoidance and representation. He has advised on tax structuring, estate and succession planning, and related compliance matters. The LL.M. in Taxation underpins his approach to complex tax questions, while decades in firm practice have given him experience on transactional and probate-adjacent issues.

At Goggans, Stutzman, Hudson, Wilson & Mize, LLP he continues to counsel individuals and businesses on tax and estate concerns. He maintains active memberships in professional associations and appears before state and federal forums as needed. His current practice centers on tax law and estate planning matters handled from the firm’s platform.
