About Bonnie
Bonnie Boryca is an attorney who earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2010. She began law school in 2007 and completed the program three years later. Her legal training at Kansas grounded her in both doctrinal study and practical skills taught through clinics and simulation courses.
After graduating in 2010, Boryca moved into legal practice. Early in her career she took on a mix of responsibilities that are common for new lawyers: drafting motions, managing client files, and appearing in administrative proceedings. Over time she expanded those duties to include counseling clients and handling matters that required research and negotiation. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing cases and direct in presenting facts to clients and opposing parties.
Her professional life has included membership in at least one bar-related organization, and she maintains current professional affiliations. Those memberships have given her regular contact with peers and exposure to continuing legal education. She has used those opportunities to stay informed about changes in rules and procedure that affect everyday practice.
Boryca's courtroom and office work reflect a blend of transactional and advocacy tasks. She regularly prepares documents that must meet strict procedural standards. She also takes part in settlement discussions and attends hearings when required. Clients who work with her encounter a lawyer who emphasizes clarity in communication and attention to deadlines.
Outside the immediate demands of casework, she has engaged in professional development through seminars and training programs. That ongoing learning has informed how she structures client files and approaches case strategy. It has also shaped how she explains complex legal issues to non-lawyers, breaking them into manageable parts.
Today Bonnie Boryca practices as a lawyer, applying her Kansas law school education and years of casework to represent and advise clients. She continues to maintain professional memberships and to build on the procedural and practical skills that have defined her practice. She currently focuses on client representation and legal counseling in her day-to-day work.
