About Benjamin R.
Benjamin R. Roberts built a career that links courtroom work to a law office he opened in 2018. He reads cases the way he read literature in college: carefully, line by line, looking for what matters. That approach shaped his path from a liberal arts degree into litigation.
Roberts earned his Bachelor of Arts in English — Literature & Language — from Texas Tech University in 2005. He then attended South Texas College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2008. Those years set a practical foundation for litigation. They also gave him a facility with written argument and an understanding of how narrative and law intersect.
He moved into private practice after law school and by 2010 had become a partner at The Pinkerton Law Office, PLLC. That experience exposed him to courtroom procedures and client counseling. It also offered an early chance to manage case strategies and work on complex filings in both state and federal settings.
In 2018 Roberts launched Benjamin Roberts Law. He practices under the Benjamin Roberts Law, PLLC name. His admissions include the State of Texas, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and three federal districts in Texas: the Eastern, Western and Southern Districts. Those credentials enable him to handle matters that require both state and federal filings and to appear in several of the state’s principal federal venues.
Roberts is active in professional organizations that center on trial practice. His memberships include the Million Dollar & Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association. He participates in events and programming those groups offer, keeping pace with evolving procedural and substantive issues affecting litigators.
Colleagues describe Roberts as precise in drafting and deliberate in court. He prefers to let written work do the heavy lifting early in a case. When filings are made, they tend to be concise and grounded in statutory and case law. He balances courtroom advocacy with client communication, aiming to explain options in plain language rather than legalese.
Today Roberts maintains a private practice in Houston under the Benjamin Roberts Law, PLLC banner. He appears regularly in Texas and federal courts and continues to engage with trial lawyer organizations as part of his ongoing professional activity. His current practice is concentrated on litigation in state and federal courts.
