About Bari
Bari Weinberger built a legal career that began at state court and moved steadily into private practice. She earned a B.A. in Legal Studies, Sociology and English from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1990, then completed her J.D. at Suffolk University Law School in 1994. Those early academic choices shaped a practice centered on family law and courtroom procedure.
Her first post-law-school position was a judicial law clerkship in the Family Part of the Middlesex County Superior Court in 1997. The clerkship offered close work on custody disputes, support calculations and domestic-relations orders. She moved into private practice soon after, joining Goldstein & Bachman in 1998 and then Finnerty LaRocca & Sherwood in 2000. By 2002 she was at Cutler, Simeone, Townsend, Tomaio & Newmark, first as an associate and later as a partner.
In 2006 Weinberger took on partner roles in two different firms, including Iandoli, Edens & Weinberger and Cutler, Simeone, Townsend, Tomaio & Newmark. Two years later she launched Weinberger Law Group, LLC, where she is listed as partner and owner. Her career path shows a steady progression from clerkship to senior practitioner, and an emphasis on handling contested cases as well as negotiated settlements.
She holds certification from the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Law Lawyer and is a Certified Family Law Mediator through ICLE. Those credentials support her work both inside the courtroom and at the mediation table. Courtroom filings and mediation sessions have been a regular part of her caseload for many years.
Weinberger is active in the professional community. She has been a member of the Morris County Bar Association since 2002 and of the American Inns of Court since 1999. She served on the Family Law Executive Committee in 2005 and was a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association from 2002 to 2007. She also participates in local programs: she is a master and board member of the Family Law Inn, sits on expert panels for the Morris and Passaic County Family Court Early Settlement Programs, participates in the Passaic County Kids Count Program, and volunteers as a family law consultant for County College of Morris campuses.
Her practice is based in New Jersey and maintains offices across several counties, including Morris, Bergen, Monmouth, Somerset, Union and Burlington. Her current practice concentrates on matrimonial and family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, mediation and settlement work.
