About Barbara
Barbara Rothenberg began her legal path at Temple University, where she completed both a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor in 1978. She arrived on campus at a moment when the legal profession was changing fast. The dual degrees set a clear course early in her career.
After graduation she entered practice in the tri-state area. She gained admission to the Pennsylvania bar in 1978 and later obtained licenses in New Jersey and New York. Those admissions allowed her to handle matters that cross state lines and to represent clients in a variety of forums.
Rothenberg’s career is grounded in courtroom practice. Over the years she has been active in trial lawyer organizations across the region. She holds memberships in the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Nationally, she maintains ties through the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association. Locally, she is part of the Philadelphia Bar Association and has been listed with the Pennsylvania State Bar since 1978.
Colleagues describe her as steady in court and meticulous in preparation. She applies those habits to civil litigation. Her work often involves personal injury and other plaintiff-side claims, where litigation strategy and witness preparation matter. She has handled discovery, motion practice and trials. She also has experience negotiating settlements when that route serves a client’s interest.
Her practice reflects the interconnected nature of modern litigation. Cases frequently touch on jurisdictional questions and procedural intricacies in multiple states. Rothenberg’s admissions in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania help her manage those dimensions. She draws on procedural rules and local practice standards when she maps case timelines and hearing dates.
Rothenberg remains active in professional associations, attending meetings and contributing to discussions on trial practice. Her peers see that participation as a way to stay current on evolving procedural and evidentiary issues. She also uses those networks to consult on difficult questions that arise in complex cases.
Today she practices at THE ROTHENBERG LAW FIRM LLP. She continues to represent clients in civil litigation across the tri-state region, handling trial preparation, motion practice and case resolution matters in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
