About B. Stuart

B. Stuart Walker built his legal foundation at California State University, Long Beach, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1987. He went on to study law at Western State University College of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1998. His coursework and early practice concentrated on general practice areas, including family law.

After law school, Walker established a practice that combined courtroom work and client counseling. He is authorized to practice in California and is admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Over the years he has handled contested hearings and negotiated settlements across a range of family law matters.

Walker holds certification as a Certified Family Law Specialist from the State Bar of California. That credential reflects continuing study and testing in family law and indicates a concentration of work in that field. His caseload has included dissolution of marriage, child custody and visitation arrangements, child and spousal support, and disputes over the division of community property.

He takes on both contested and uncontested matters. In some cases he appears at trial. In others he works to resolve conflicts through settlement or court-managed case procedures. He has represented clients in post-judgment enforcement matters, modification proceedings and contempt proceedings when enforcement of existing orders was required.

Practice in family law often intersects with other areas of civil practice, and Walker’s background in general practice allows him to address related issues. He can advise on procedural questions and handle the papers and hearings that follow a judgment. Being admitted to the Ninth Circuit also allows him to assist clients with federal appellate filings when circumstances require appellate review.

Walker operates under the name B. Stuart Walker Law Office. He runs a small office where he manages client intake, case strategy and court appearances. His day-to-day work involves interviewing clients, drafting pleadings and motions, negotiating settlements and representing clients at hearings.

He maintains a practice that centers on family law matters and adjacent civil issues, offering representation in California courts and the Ninth Circuit when necessary.
