About Ashkan
Ashkan Yekrangi trained in California law and built a practice that spans state and federal matters. He studied at the University of California system, earning a B.A. from UC Irvine in 2005 and a J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 2010. Those years set the groundwork for legal work that moved quickly from classrooms to courtrooms.
While in law school he served as an extern to the Honorable Justice J. Kennard at the Supreme Court of California in 2009. The externship placed him inside the state’s highest court during a formative period. It offered direct exposure to appellate processes and judicial decision-making, experience he carried into post-graduate practice.
After graduation he began practicing in California. In 2011 he worked at Graves & King, taking on responsibilities typical for early-career lawyers. A year later he appears on practice rosters for Yekrangi & Associates as a lawyer. His career record shows steady movement into private practice in the state where he trained.
Outside of firm work he has completed a mediator certification through UC Irvine. That credential reflects training in facilitation and dispute resolution. He is admitted in California and is also authorized to practice before the Central District of California, allowing him to file and appear in both state and federal forums.
He holds memberships in a range of professional organizations. Those include the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the State Bar of California, the Riverside County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Iranian American Bar Association. These affiliations indicate engagement with peer networks and continuing professional activity across local, state, and national groups.
His practice is centered at Yekrangi & Associates. He handles immigration matters and related filings in California and in the Central District of California. That is where he maintains his current casework and client representation.
