About Ari
Ari Friedman earned a B.A. from the University of Southern California in 2004 and a J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2007. He completed his formal legal education in California and entered practice there, where he has spent his career handling cases that arise from long-term exposure to hazardous materials.
Early in his career Friedman worked as an associate at Weitz & Luxenberg, PC. In 2011 he handled mesothelioma and asbestos matters, representing individuals who developed serious illnesses after exposure to asbestos in workplaces and other settings. That work involved reviewing medical records, coordinating with treating physicians and experts, and filing claims in state and federal court.
By 2022 Friedman had advanced to a shareholder role at Baum Hedlund Aristei & Goldman. There he continued to litigate on behalf of plaintiffs, taking part in discovery, motion practice and trial preparation. His responsibilities included overseeing case strategy and collaborating with colleagues on complex product-liability and toxic-tort litigation.
Friedman practices in California. His background centers on asbestos litigation and mesothelioma claims, where he has handled both individual cases and matters that intersect with larger mass-tort frameworks. He has litigated in state and federal forums and worked to assemble the kinds of medical and occupational records that these cases typically require.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in courtroom preparation and attentive to the procedural details that matter in long-running exposure cases. He has worked with epidemiologists, pulmonologists and other specialists to build factual records and to frame damages and liability questions for judges and juries. The litigation often moves slowly, and he has experience steering cases through the early investigative stages into active pleadings and discovery.
He practices from the offices of Wisner Baum in California. His current work centers on representing people affected by asbestos exposure, including mesothelioma cases, in state and federal courts.
