About Anthony W.
Anthony W. Kirby built his legal path after completing an undergraduate degree in studio art and then turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Washington & Lee University in 2013 and a Juris Doctor from Belmont University College of Law in 2016. Those credentials set the stage for steady work in private practice in the Tennessee–Kentucky region.
Fresh out of law school he joined The Kennedy Law Firm in 2016 as an associate. The position placed him in day-to-day client work and litigation support. Two years later he moved to the Law Office of Brian L. Hill, again serving as an associate and expanding his responsibilities within a smaller office environment.
After several years as an associate, Kirby launched his own practice. In 2022 he began operating Kirby Law, PLLC, where he served as the managing lawyer. Running a small firm required shifting between casework, client intake, and the administrative tasks that keep a practice running. That period gave him experience on both the legal and business sides of the profession.
In 2023 he joined Patton & Pittman as a lawyer. The move returned him to a firm environment while keeping him rooted in the same geographic area where he has practiced for years. Colleagues and clients alike encountered a practitioner comfortable in courtroom settings and in the office.
Kirby is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Kentucky. He holds current memberships in both the Kentucky Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. He also served on the board of the Montgomery County Bar Association from 2019 to 2020, taking part in bar governance and local professional matters during that term.
His career path shows a mix of firm experience and independent practice. He has experience handling the responsibilities common to private practitioners in the region, including client counseling, case development, and courtroom representation when required. He has balanced individual client work with the operational demands of running a small law office.
Colleagues describe him as a practical lawyer who has taken roles that test both legal skill and office management. He continues to practice law in Tennessee and Kentucky, now working out of Patton & Pittman and attending to matters in those jurisdictions.
