About Tracy Provo
Tracy Provo Knight built a foundation in business before she entered the law. She earned a Juris Doctor from Lincoln Memorial University in 2013. Earlier studies include an MBA in Business from Middle Tennessee State University and a B.S. from Austin Peay State University. Her academic background informs both her classroom work and her legal practice.
After law school, Knight moved into practice in Tennessee. Her resume lists experience as an associate at the Law Office of Michael K. Williamson, where she handled client matters and case preparation. That role gave her practical exposure to the daily demands of legal work and to serving clients across a range of issues in the state.
Alongside private practice, Knight has maintained a presence in legal education. She serves as an adjunct faculty member at Middle Tennessee State University’s Jones College of Business. In that capacity she brings legal concepts into a business curriculum and helps bridge the gap between academic study and professional expectations for students.
Her professional life is also anchored in local legal networks. Knight is a current member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, and the Montgomery County Bar Association. Membership in these groups keeps her connected to continuing legal education, community initiatives, and the changing standards that affect practice in Tennessee.
Colleagues and students note the practical throughline in Knight’s career: business training, formal legal education, courtroom and office experience, and teaching. She moves between classrooms and client conferences, applying a dual perspective that grows out of formal study in both business and law. She practices law in Tennessee and remains active in the state’s bar associations.
