About Anna Goulet
Anna Goulet Zimmerman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Vermont in 1992 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law in 1995. Her academic background combined theory and practical analysis. It also laid the groundwork for a career that has moved between courtroom advocacy and negotiated family law resolution.
She began her legal career in 1995 at Smith & Carlson, a firm that later became Carlson Law Office. There she learned litigation basics and client counseling. In 2004 she joined Noteboom - The Law Office, expanding her trial work and courtroom presence. Three years later she was a lawyer at Bianco Professional Association, continuing to handle contested matters and settlement work.
In 2012 Zimmerman became a partner at the Law Office of Manning Zimmerman & Oliveira PLLC. That shift reflected a longer arc from junior associate to firm leadership. She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, Maine and Texas. The mix of jurisdictions has allowed her to work on a range of procedural settings and to collaborate with counsel in different courts.
Zimmerman holds a certification as a New Hampshire collaborative law attorney through the Collaborative Law Alliance of New Hampshire. She is an active member of professional groups that reflect both trial and family law work. Her memberships include the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association, the Manchester Bar Association, the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association. She has also been involved with the New Hampshire Association for Justice since 2007 and has served as Secretary on its Board of Directors. Earlier in her career she participated in Texas trial organizations, including Tarrant County Trial Lawyers and Dallas Trial Lawyers, and she was a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers group from 1996 to 2007. She served in the Zonta Club of Concord from 2011 to 2013.
Her practice combines family law and civil litigation. She represents clients in contested family matters, including divorce, parenting and property division, and she also participates in collaborative law processes as an alternative to traditional litigation. In court she handles hearings and trials; outside court she works on negotiations and settlement agreements. At the Law Office of Manning Zimmerman & Oliveira PLLC she continues to balance courtroom work and collaborative practice, concentrating on family law and related civil litigation matters.
