About Ann

Ann Ochsner built the foundation of her legal life at Methodist College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2006, and then at Campbell University School of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2011. She came of age in law school during a period of shifting courtroom practice and evolving procedural rules. Those years taught her the mechanics of litigation and the rhythms of client work.

After law school she joined Whitley Law Office as an associate. Colleagues describe her as steady in the courtroom and methodical in preparation. She has taken assignments that require careful case analysis, document drafting and direct client contact. Routine tasks for her include researching legal issues, preparing pleadings and representing clients at hearings. She handles both the paperwork and the interpersonal work that comes with advising people in tense situations.

Her professional affiliations reflect a commitment to practicing in North Carolina. She holds current membership in the North Carolina State Bar and belongs to the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. Those memberships keep her engaged with continuing legal education and the professional standards expected of attorneys in the state. They also connect her to a network of trial lawyers and peers who handle civil litigation across the region.

People who have worked with Ochsner note that she approaches each file as a series of concrete tasks. She breaks complex problems into manageable parts. She prepares evidence, outlines witness testimony and frames legal arguments in clear terms. That approach tends to translate to steady progress for clients and predictable courtroom performance.

At Whitley Law Office she works out of the Greenville office. Her role as associate places her on the front lines of client intake and case development. She spends time meeting with clients, assessing claims and coordinating with experts when cases require technical input. She also drafts motions, responds to discovery and represents clients at hearings when matters proceed toward resolution.

Outside the office she stays current on developments in state practice rules and trial techniques through bar-sponsored programs and CLE offerings. Those activities inform how she manages caseloads and communicates options to clients. She is currently an associate at Whitley Law Office in Greenville, where her practice centers on client representation, case preparation and courtroom advocacy.
